New Inks Released for Canon and Brother Cartridges

OCP has released new ink for use in refurbishing used Canon and Brother cartridges.

A pigment based ink has been designed for empty Canon Maxify cartridges to be used in Canon’s Maxify inkjet printers range. Canon’s FINE printhead features 1,200 nozzles for black and 1,024 for each color, and a Dual Resistant High Density Ink System for exceptionally dense and durable prints.

OCP told RT Media it considers it has done an excellent job to create this ink set to meet the different needs of users in the office environment.

A dye-based color ink, and a pigment-based monochrome ink have been developed for use in the MFC-J4420, 4620, 5320. 5620 and 5720 inkjet printer models. OCP advises a replacement chip, or a reset chip, is required when remanufacturing these cartridges. OCP claims it has has also figured out which part of the cartridge is responsible for ink level detection.

As usual, OCP offers sample sets of the inks to remanufacturers to help place these new OCP inks in local markets. The necessary chip resetter is also available from OCP.
