New Digital Printing Centre Opened on Small Island

New Digital Printing Centre Opened on Small IslandFor the first time in its 125-year history the Jersey Evening Post is being printed in full color, thanks to the collaboration between Kodak and Guiton Group Limited.

It comes as a result of a new, state-of-the-art, digital printing centre being opened on the English Channel Island which lies between France and England.

The new facility is home to two Kodak Prosper 6000P press machines that will print over 35,000 newspapers every day, including national titles to be distributed on the channel islands of Jersey and Guernsey.

Kodak’s president of Enterprise Inkjet Systems Division—Philip Cullimore, the chairman of Guiton Group Limited—John Averty, the managing director in KP Services (Jersey) Limited—Jack Knadjian, together with the Minister of Economic Development—Lyndon Farnham attended the unveiling ceremony.
