Lexmark Seals Four-Year Managed Print Services Deal

Lexmark International has signed a four-year managed print services agreement with Bank of Queensland.

The agreement will support BOQ’s transformation strategy by providing client-centric and back office solutions throughout its national branch network, customer contact centres and all corporate offices.

Lexmark will provide BOQ with managed print services including business assessments, infrastructure and process optimisation, asset management, proactive consumables management, maintenance service, onsite valet services, software solutions, reporting and governance.

Lexmark has recently supported BOQ’s move to a flexible, paperless workforce by successfully deploying these services to the new ‘BOQ Village’ Head Office at the Newstead Gasworks in Brisbane.

It will help BOQ save up to approximately two million pages per year by implementing Lexmark Print Management solution throughout its corporate offices.

BOQ head of distributed computing, Steve Sherwood, said the company was pleased to have engaged Lexmark to deliver a group-wide managed print service.

“We’re excited by the opportunities this offers to our corporate businesses and importantly BOQ’s unique owner manager branch network,” he said. Lexmark general manager A/NZ, Arjan Paulussen, said BOQ was an innovative and client-centric organisation.

“In addition to reducing costs and relieving the IT department of the day-to-day operations, Lexmark’s in-depth knowledge of the banking industry has enabled us to identify further business process improvement opportunities,” he said.

“We look forward to helping BOQ further improve the quality of service they can provide to their customers over the term of the contract.”
