Konica Minolta Tops EPEAT Evaluation

Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta), has outperformed other imaging manufacturers, reaching the highest EPEAT* certification point.

Konica Minolta now has a total of 62 active products on the EPEAT registry, meeting criteria in eight environmental performance categories. The OEM claims that 43 of its bizhub™ multifunction printers (MFPs) have achieved Gold Status in the EPEAT registry. According to Sports.yahoo.com, 24 of its products, among the 54 imaging products on the EPEAT registry, reached 20 optional points or higher.

“We are committed to attaining the highest level of environmental transparency which is becoming increasingly important to our clients and end-users,” said Kevin Kern, senior vice president, Business Intelligence Services and Product Development, Konica Minolta. “This certification not only adds value to our business across the board but helps communicate our sustainability achievements.”

EPEAT is an abbreviation for Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool, which helps companies, governments and consumers identify and purchase greener devices.
