Katun Responds to Infringement Accusation

Last week, Toshiba filed a patent infringement suit against Katun in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, claiming Katun has allegedly infringed certain Toshiba patents.

Katun disagrees. In response to the OEM’s accusation, William McIntyre, Senior Vice President & General Counsel for Katun Corporation, asserts, “Katun has led the aftermarket industry for over 35 years in providing high quality, IP-compliant products. We invest significant resources, and rely heavily on subject matter expertise, to ensure IP compliance.  Accordingly, Katun is confident the products we are selling for use in Toshiba applications are non-infringing.”
