James Imaging Systems, a Brookfield-based provider of imaging systems and related support services, says it has acquired the Wisconsin-based operations of Ross Imaging LLC of Illinois.
Under the agreement, James will become the owner and operator of Ross Imaging offices in Sheboygan and Appleton and will begin serving customers in Outagamie, Brown, Door, Manitowoc and Sheboygan counties.
The Sheboygan and Appleton branches will continue to operate as Ross Imaging but will be wholly owned divisions of James Imaging Systems.
“Ross Imaging has built a strong presence in the Sheboygan and Appleton areas, and this acquisition puts us in a positive position to grow our business beyond our base in the metropolitan Milwaukee area,” Tom Tegeder, president of James Imaging Systems said in a statement.
“I chose James Imaging Systems because it was important that our customers be assisted by a Wisconsin family-owned business that is dedicated to the local community,” said Rich Cucco, managing partner and founder at Imagetec, the previous owner of Ross Imaging.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Tegeder said he expects all of the nearly 30 Ross Imaging-Wisconsin employees to be offered opportunities to stay with the new ownership.
James Imaging Systems started as a copier sales and repair business operating out of a garage and a station wagon in 1977. The business has grown to more than 75 employeesbefore the Ross acquisition.
The acquisition is the third recent expansion for James Imaging Systems.
