Inkjet Ink General Exclusion Order Violated

The U.S. Bureau of Customs and Border Protection (“Customs”) has informed the United States International Trade Commission (USITC) yet again, that certain inkjet cartridge were denied entry into the United States.

According to a copy of the Seizure and Forfeiture Order, dated October 20, provided to RT Media, the CN Corporation, based in California, violated the General Exclusion Order (GEO) related to the 337-TA-691 investigation, with its attempt to importing infringing inkjet cartridges into the United States.

On September 23, 2009, Hewlett Packard Company, USA filed a lawsuit, claiming 11 companies infringed its four patents Nos: 6,089,687; 6,264,301; 6,959,985; 7,104,630.

The USITC instituted a 337-TA-691 investigation on October 29, 2009 and issued a GEO on January 7, 2011.
