Indian Recycler Regarded as a Green World Leader

Barkha Mittal, Founding Managing Director of the Indian based GreenVolution Eco Services Pvt Ltd (Greenvolution), has been recognized as one of the 50 most green leaders of the world this year.

The World CSR congress announced the “50 Most Impactful Green Leaders (Global Listing)” as a tribute to those who are passionate about CSR & Green. The congress identified leaders who believe that being ‘green” must contribute to social change. The World CSR Day pays a tribute to such leaders who are transformational agents.

As one of the winners, Mittal told RT Media that her company, Greenvolution, claims it offers her customers the most environmentally sound and cost-saving solution for printer cartridges – the recycling and reuse of existing cartridges.

According to Mittal, her company has now recycled over 100,000 cartridges and have saved up to 15 tons of non-biodegradable plastic waste from landfills and more than 5,000 litres of oil each year. They collect waste empty cartridges and process them at their workshop in Delhi to make a cartridge with more toner in it than an original and still charge half of the original price.
