Hubert Bro appointed as CEO of I.R.I.S. Group

Canon Europe reported on the appointment of Hubert Bro as CEO of Canon Group company  I.R.I.S.

The appointment will continue to strengthen collaboration between Canon’s European sales channel and I.R.I.S. to develop new powerful information management solutions at the same time as reinforcing its market position as a trusted independent technology partner in the wider industry. Having worked for Canon France for 28 years and Canon Europe for four years, Bro’s experience and expertise will also enable him to build closer synergies with Canon’s research and development and sales teams.

Bro replaces Pierre de Muelenaere as CEO, following Pierre’s successful tenure from founding the company in 1987 to overseeing operations in nine countries and selling solutions to more than 90 countries around the world.

Rokus van Iperen, President and CEO, Canon Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: “We thank Pierre for his fantastic achievements at I.R.I.S., in particular in overseeing significant sales increases and the smooth expansion beyond Europe into the USA, APAC and Australia,” He further added, “Under Hubert’s leadership, we look forward to seeing the continued success of I.R.I.S. as we expand our solutions and services business and maximize opportunities to integrate I.R.I.S. solutions further with Canon.”

Canon announced the acquisition of I.R.I.S Group SA in February 2013. Under Hubert Bro, I.R.I.S. will continue to operate as an independent organization within the Canon Group.
