Epson Philippines Expands Operation

In order to expand its manufacturing capacity, Epson Philippines is planning to invest P4.7 billion (US $87.6 million) to build a second plant in Batangas.

According to Toshimitsu Tanaka, president and country manager of Epson Philippines Corp., the plant will increase the export business of Epson Philippines, which means more jobs for Filipinos. It will also enable the company to meet demand for quality products.

“Our aim is to be indispensable. We must continue to develop new products. Innovation is mandatory. But the key is to find the specific market to focus on and grow from there,” Tanaka says.
