HP Announces Innovative LaserJets Featured JetIntelligence Toner Cartridges

On March 10, HP hosted a press and analyst event in New York City to launch their most revolutionary LaserJet Printers since the product originated back in 1984.

The new devices include Color LaserJet Pro M252 series, Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277 series and Color LaserJet Enterprise M552 and M553 series, which feature its new Original HP Toner cartridges with JetIntelligence technology. Also, the LaserJet printers use up to 53% less energy, take up to 40% less space and wake up, print and duplex in a fraction of the time. Also, they feature a smaller footprint, easier set up and installation as well as up to 40 percent faster printing from sleep versus competitors.

According to HP, the re-engineered toner cartridges can print up to 33% more compared with traditional ones. The ColorSphere 3 toner used is with durable shell and soft core, and offers consistently glossy, professional-quality results and is specifically designed to keep up with the devices’ high-speed performance. Despite having a more durable shell, the new toner’s soft core melts at a much lower temperature requiring far less heat to melt.

With anti-fraud technology built into every JetIntelligence toner cartridge, customers have more protection that easily identifies counterfeit cartridges and enforces customer-initiated anti-theft and office-wide printing policies to manage cost and quality standards.

HP also makes cartridge installation easier with the new auto seal removal. The toner seal is now inside the toner cartridge and is automatically removed during installation. In addition, print gauge technology intelligently predicts toner levels.

Specifically, the black cartridges used in M252 and M277 series can yield 1500 and 2800 pages, while per color cartridge (yellow, cyan and magenta) can print 1400 and 2300 pages. The black cartridges of M553 series (including M553n, M553dn and M553x) print ISO 6000 and 12500 pages, and per color cartridge (yellow, cyan and magenta) can print ISO 5000 and 9500 pages.

Pradeep Jotwani, Senior Vice President and General Manager, LaserJet and EnterpriseSolutions, Printing and Personal Systems at HP said, “Today’s office is more collaborative, an office environment that has changed in many different ways – a new business reality, and LaserJets have changed as well. We are reinventing the printer, making them leaner, faster, and smarter, we aren’t making them with small changes, but substantial improvements.”
