The company is pleased to announce that its revenue and business progressed in accordance with its internal plan. Revenue grew significantly by 17.2% to JPY 339.1 billion (USD 2.4 billion), mainly in the printing solutions sector. Business profit totaled JPY 15.6 billion (USD 108.5 million), outperforming the original plan. This is mainly attributed to the increasing prices of home and office printers.

The Printing Solutions business remained the main revenue generator for Epson. Total revenue stood at JPY 248.3 billion (USD 1.7 billion), up 7.8% year-on-year, accounting for nearly three-quarters of the company’s total income. Segment profit saw a larger increase of 29.2% to JPY 28.1 billion (USD 195.5 million).

Ink-tank and office shared printers were the mainstream models among customers, contributing to higher revenue from both inkjet printers and ink, while also compensating for lower sales of ink cartridge models. The performance of commercial and industrial printer products varied across categories and regions, but customers tended not to invest in such products in Q4.

For other products, printheads saw robust demand from China and resulted in increased sales, while sales of small printers and other products remained stable as a combined result of a shrinking North American market and expansion in Europe and Asia.

For fiscal year 2025, Epson acknowledged the uncertainty brought by the additional U.S. tariff but remained committed to providing stable dividends by responding rapidly and flexibly to any future changes. Still, the company expects decreases in both revenue and business profit due to the negative impact of exchange rates.
