Epson announced the release of the new Colorio EP-988A3 home inkjet printer, available from November 20, 2025. Despite supporting A3-size printing, the new model retains the series’ hallmark compact design, making it easy to use in any home environment.

Reflecting user feedback, Epson has added a new A3/B4 two-fold copy function, allowing users to scan large originals such as A3 or B4 documents in two passes and reproduce them at full size. The printer also features the popular “Easy Mode”, improving usability by allowing users to register up to three frequently used functions on the home screen for quick access.

Equipped with a six-color dye ink system, the EP-988A3 delivers high-quality printing up to A3 size, making it ideal for a variety of applications—from learning materials and photos to fan merchandise and business documents. Epson aims to support the growing demand for home learning, remote work, and fan activities, offering users a new way to enjoy and personalize printing in their daily lives.

Compact A3-capable printer for versatile use
The EP-988A3 supports A3 printing while maintaining the compact size of previous A4 models. It enables users to easily produce A3 teaching materials, large diagrams, maps, or even fan goods such as handheld “uchiwa” fans—all from a single sheet—without taking up extra space.

Full-size copying for A3/B4 documents
The new two-fold copy feature allows large documents to be folded and scanned in two passes, automatically stitching them together into a full-scale copy. This is convenient for B-size educational materials and telework documents requiring larger formats.

Improved usability with “Easy Mode”
“Easy Mode” lets users pin up to three favorite functions—such as photo printing or copying—on the home screen, eliminating the need to search through menus and ensuring smooth operation. Functions can be reassigned at any time to match users’ needs.
