Epson Expects to Gain More in Southeast Asia

Epson has unveiled plans to drive further growth in the Southeast Asian market in terms of its “Epson 25” vision.

According to Epson, it aims for a “new connected age of people, things and information with efficient, compact and precision technologies” in the following decade.

Epson also expects its business segments in Southeast Asia will keep growing in the medium-term. The company’s businesses in Southeast Asia mainly focus on four key areas — Inkjet, Visual Communications, Wearables and Robotics.

The managing director at Epson Singapore, Toshimitsu Tanaka stated, “Epson will continue to leverage our core technologies to create new innovations that will meet new needs across our focus segments.”

The Southeast Asian businesses of Epson had witnessed a growth of 9% in the fiscal year of 2015. Among them, the sales of ink tank printers had grown 17% and the business of large format printers grew 6%. Epson expects the segment of large format printers to increase 13% in 2016.
