Counterfeit Cartridge Den Busted in Jiangxi, China

In a recent raid conducted by local authorities in Ji’an City, Jiangxi Province, China, an apartment where counterfeit HP printer cartridges were produced was cracked down, with 2 suspected respondents, more than 400 counterfeit HP toner cartridges as well as 800 fake pieces of registered trademarks and packaging materials seized. The revenue involved totaled RMB 70,000 (USD$10,640).

The respondents purchased counterfeit HP trademarks on line and pasted them on ordinary toner cartridges before selling these cartridges. Each counterfeit cartridge brought illegal profit of almost RMB 100. As was revealed by the police, the two respondents had been engaged in the business for two month when they were traced out and detained.
