Consolidating for the Future: Surviving & Thriving with Print Consumables

(Zhuhai, China: 1st July 2015)  This year, the aftermarket consumables industry has experienced an unprecedented series of acquisitions and mergers. China-based Apex Microelectronics, for example, went through an asset restructuring, and acquired US-based Static Control Components (SCC) for a reported US$63 million. Suzhou Goldengreen Technologies (SGT) became a strategic shareholder of the global network of 1,400 Cartridge World stores. It is evident the industry is evolving and restructuring. While many have been caught by surprise, others claim they are not, saying the aftermarket must restructure their resources and form more powerful international cooperation to deal with the challenges ahead?

In October 2015, aftermarket consumables industry leaders from around the world will descend on Zhuhai in southern China—the global print consumables capital—to network and gather industry intelligence on market trends, new technologies and hot legal issues, at the RT Imaging Summit—Asia 2015.

Recycling Times Media Corporation (RT Media) has just announced the RT Imaging Summit—Asia 2015 will take place on the 15th and 16th October in Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center, Zhuhai, China. This year’s Summit will cover two half days: Thursday afternoon and Friday morning, making it different from previous summits. It will be held during, not before, RemaxWorld Expo—making it easier for attendees to participate at both the Expo and the Summit on the same days and at the same location.

RT Media says it is in the process of inviting twenty international professionals to share their perspectives on mergers and acquisitions, competition and cooperation between OEM’s and the aftermarket industry, current legal and patent issues, the MPS market, globalization, new operation models, new channels, and new technologies.
