Callow Teams Up with Lexmark to Cut Red Tape

A new initiative has been launched to help businesses in the UK spend less on printing.

Lexmark has teamed up with OEM Contracts to cut all the “red tape” for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to provide a completely new, hassle-free, fixed price monthly agreement for printers and consumables.

Paul Callow rtmworld“We have finally nailed the holy grail of MPS contracts!” General Manager Paul Callow (pictured) excitedly told RT Media. “The one-page, no lease, fixed monthly plan for small businesses and SMEs is here.”

Founded in April 2020, OEM Contracts is a dream come true for Callow, who has worked with OEMs previously including Lexmark and Brother, to make it easy for businesses to manage their office printing needs. “We have cut out processes and intermediaries involved in the supply chain for laser printers, laser multi-function machines and the cartridges, toners and other consumables in order to create a new fixed price monthly agreement,” he added.

According to Callow, the one price, fixed agreement includes:

  • a brand new Lexmark laser printer or multi-function device
  • Lexmark original cartridges, toners and consumables
  • on-site service and warranty by Lexmark engineers
  • empty cartridge collection and recycling programme
  • full pre-delivery inspection and testing service
  • free delivery

Callow asserts SMEs and small businesses can have a fixed price with no hidden charges. “Our unique monthly agreement works virtually the same way as a mobile phone contract,” Callow said. “A range of packages is available to suit the various needs of SMEs.”

The streamlining, “no red tape” process also removes a lot of paperwork and other related headaches Callow explains. “We can cut out the need for a finance company means there is no need for a finance lease and no credit checks required.”

This means there is:

  • no credit check
  • no finance or leasing agreement
  • no separate supplies usage agreement
  • no separate service agreement to maintain the devices
  • no separate warranty agreement
  • no cost per page agreement, and
  • no hidden costs
