Brother Launches A3 Inkjet MFP with MAXIDRIVE Technology

Brother has announced the launch of five new A3 business inkjet multifunction printers equipped with its proprietary MAXIDRIVE inkjet printing technology. The new lineup is scheduled for release in late February.

The newly introduced models combine high-speed printing with enhanced durability, addressing the needs of business users that require both productivity and long-term reliability. Powered by MAXIDRIVE technology, the printers deliver print speeds of approximately 30 pages per minute for A4 colour and 31 pages per minute for A4 monochrome, while achieving a first print-out time of as fast as 4.6 seconds.

The new models are designed for extended use, offering durability of up to seven years or approximately 300,000 pages, making them suitable for high-volume business printing environments. Selected models also achieve low running costs, helping organisations reduce operational expenses. In addition, power consumption has been reduced by around 33% compared with previous models, contributing to lower energy costs and environmental impact.

To better accommodate diverse usage scenarios, Brother has expanded its A3 inkjet lineup with the DCP-J7205CDW, its first A3 inkjet multifunction printer without fax functionality. The model is positioned for business users, home offices, and educational environments where A3 printing is required but fax capabilities are unnecessary.

The lineup also includes First Tank models equipped with large-capacity ink cartridges. These enable printing of approximately 6,000 pages in monochrome and 5,000 pages in colour per replacement, reducing the frequency of ink changes. Ink cartridges can be replaced from the front of the device, supporting easier maintenance in space-limited environments.

MAXIDRIVE technology integrates Brother’s accumulated inkjet expertise into a newly designed print chip. By increasing the size of printable ink droplets, the technology improves print speed while maintaining image quality, and also suppresses long-term degradation of the print chip to enhance durability.
