[Breaking News] History Being Made: First Remanufacturer Company to Sue OEM

One large Remanufacturer print consumables company is set to sue a large OEM. According to information gleaned by RT Media, papers set to be filed early October suggest the news could break very soon.

In the last year, at least 87 Remanufacturer companies were sued by OEMs.  And countless hundreds over the last 15 years.

If the suit goes ahead, this will be a first suit against an OEM by the Remanufacturer industry.

Many Aftermarket companies have been developing their own patented imaging technologies.  Some Remanufacturer CEOs are concerned that their patents are being ignored. “Respect for IPRs (Intellectual Property Rights) is a two-way street,” one CEO confided to RT Media. “We respect the IPRs of the OEMs. They must respect ours as well.”

If the suit proceeds, it will become a hot talking point at the RT Imaging Summit on October 15 & 16 during the RemaxWorld trade fair in Zhuhai China.
