HP and Xerox win Keypoint Intelligence – Buyers Lab (BLI) 2018 awards

Keypoint Intelligence – Buyers Lab (BLI) has announced the winners of the 2018 Printer/MFP Line of the Year awards.

This year, the winners were HP INC for Color Printer/MFP Line of the year and Xerox Corporation for Monochrome Printer/MFP Line of the Year.

HP has claimed BLI’s color Printer/MFP of the year for the eighth time in ten years. The awards honored to HP include outstanding Departmental Color MFP for the Flow MFP M682Z; Outstanding Departmental Color Printer for the M653 series; Outstanding Tabloid Inkjet MFP for SMBs category for their Officejet Pro 7700 series; Outstanding Color MFP for Large Workgroups for the M681 series.

And because increased functionality comes with more risk, HP embeds multiple layers of cutting-edge security technologies, including self-healing BIOS, run-time intrusion detection, and whitelisting into their devices to safeguard data, documents, and access to the corporate network.”

Xerox also took awards for Outstanding Color Printer for Mid-Size Workgroups (C500 series); Outstanding Colour MFP for Mid-Size Workgroups (C505 series); Outstanding Colour Printer for Large Workgroups (C600 series); and Outstanding Tabloid Colour Printer for Mid-Size Workgroups (C7000 series).

Tracey Koziol, Senior Vice Present of Workplace Solutions Business Group, Xerox, has said that winning the award for their BLI 2018 Monochrome Printer/MFP is fantastic industry recognition and a great way to start the new year and believes it is down to the positive feedback received from customers and partners.

Other winners included Canon’s Color Imageclass line with two awards, its MF630 series was crowned Outstanding Personal Colour MFP, and its MF730 series winning as Outstanding Colour MFP for Small Workgroups; the Brother MFC-L9570CDW, was awarded first prize in the Outstand Colour MFP for SMBs category; the Ricoh SP C340DN/SP C342DN series – also sold under the Savin and Lanier brands – was named Outstanding Color Printer for Small Workgroups; And the Epson Workforce ET-16500 Ecotank All-in-One was presented with the award for Outstanding Achievement in Value.

BLI, the world’s leading authority on document imaging devices and solutions, presents the Line of the Year awards once a year to “manufacturers whose product lines are determined to be the best overall based on the cumulative test results of all models tested in BLI’s rigorous two-month laboratory evaluation”.
