Billion Dollar Print Consumables Industry on Show

Distributors and suppliers have been surprised to learn that Latin America (LATAM) is now the 4th largest global market for print consumables. Worth US$0.5 billion per year with 4,500 distributors and about 1,200 small, medium and large remanufacturers, it follows North America and Europe, which are the two largest global markets.

When it comes to the Aftermarket, most small to medium remanufacturers are also retail outlets and deal directly with consumers. According to industry experts that met with Recycling Times Media Corporation (RT Media) in February, there is strong demand for economy and premium grade cartridges, as well as non-infringing products in LATAM, such as toner and inkjet cartridges, components, bulk inks and toners.

In 2015, leading industry players saw great opportunities in LATAM and expanded their market accordingly. Both Clover and LMI, the largest remanufacturers in North America, have large production plants in Mexico. Moreover, Diamond Dispersions, Office Depot, MSE, Orink, and Pantum are expanding in the region.

To this end, Mexico is a common and strategic gateway to both North America and Latin America. Following its own investigations, RT Media decided to choose the beautiful and popular Mexican coastal city of Cancun for its next Americas industry event.

RT Media is delighted to find that the expo floor space was fully booked, and has now negotiated with the Cancun Convention Centre for 35% more space to run the RT Imaging Summit & Expo – Americas on June, 2-3, 2016.

There will now be more than 60 exhibitors & 1,000 visitors participating at the event as many more are now selecting their expo booths.
