Apex Intros Replacement Chips for HP Inkjet Printers
Apex Microelectronics (Zhuhai, China) announced the launch of replacement chips for HP inkjet cartridges 685/655/670 used in HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3525/4615/4625/5525/6525 printers.
As was revealed by Apex, the technology of chips for HP 685 Series cartridges is more complicated than that for HP 364 and 564 Series. Therefore, developing replacement chips for 685 Series cartridges requires more time and resources. Further, Apex believes that the 685 chip technology might be used in HP’s new printers, therefore R&D for that technology is significant and necessary.
In addition to ASIC-designed, Apex said the new replacement chips will display the requisite “Non-HP Supply Installed” message, in compliance with HP’s recent White Papers. The new products will be available in Asia Pacific, Russia, Latin America and EMEA.
