Alternative Toners and Components for Kyocera Released

UniNet has unveiled a series of alternative toners and components for use in Kyocera printers.

The launch includes Absolute Black toner formula (AMES Certified), and components for use in the Kyocera Ecosys P2035 monochrome printer series; the new Multipurpose Absolute Color toner formula for the Kyocera FS C 5400 series, MFP versions, and the Ecosys M6526 and P 6026 models; and the X Generation Black toner and components for use in the Kyocera Ecosys M3040, 3540 MFP monochrome printer series.

Kyocera Ecosys P2035 monochrome printers can print up to 37 pages per minute and are ideal for low cost per page applications. These machines utilize long life drum and developer units (in this case 100,000+ pages), and users can replace the toner cartridge only. The TK-160/162 series cartridge toner can provide a yield of 2,500 pages and is compatible with the Kyocera FS 1120 models. These cartridges provide a simple solution to remanufacturers who offer refills for these monochrome cartridges because UniNet claim they are easy to remanufacture: just needing the toner and chip replaced.

UniNet is excited about its new Multipurpose Absolute Color toner formula designed for the Kyocera FS C 5400 color printer series. The color printer can print at a speed of 28 pages per minute and can be configured with additional paper trays and hard drive to maximize the print output. UniNet says its MultiPurpose Toners (MPT-FSC1) are new general purpose produced formula toners that provide outstanding print quality, high yield, and low cost per page. This formula is compatible with all OEM and UniNet components. These toners deliver comparable print quality to the OEM products at a substantially lower cost. The TK-592 toner cartridges are rated at 7,000 pages for black and 5,000 pages for the colors, and can be refilled using the MPT-FSC1 toner to lower the cost per page even further.

The Kyocera Ecosys M3040 and M3540 monochrome multifunction printers are rated at 40 ppm, featuring printing, copying, scanning and faxing (M3540 only) functions. The TK-3102 toner cartridge can provide a yield of 12,500 pages. UniNet says these cartridges can also be easily remanufactured simply by replacing the toner and chip.
