3D Systems to Partner with Konica Minolta

The Photizo Group reports 3D Systems is currently in the process of signing an official agreement with Konica Minolta, the details of the agreement to be confirmed include geographic coverage, compensation, and training.

As was revealed by Photizo, Konica Minolta believes the key factors for the partnership are “the two company’s vertical market strategies and business units”. In addition, 3D Systems plans to switch to an all direct sales model in 2014.

Photizo pointed out that in 2013, 3D Systems focused on building the partnership with larger imaging and office technology companies for its 3D printers, including Synnex, Canon Marketing, Staples and Konica Minolta. However, 3D Systems has not released further details about the specific regions for their reselling activities.
