3D Printing Technology—New Direction for the Development of Traditional 2D Printing & Consumables Enterprises

In recent years, 3D printing technology, sharing the same technology and history with traditional printing technology, has been attracting more attention. According to the forecast from International Data Corporation (IDC), global spending on 3D printing will experience a five-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 22.3 percent with revenues reaching $28.9 billion in 2020. Christopher Chute, vice president, Customer Insights and Analysis at IDC said, “As the 3D Printing market matures, major trends are no longer confined to North America. Regions like Western Europe and Asia/Pacific are driving stronger levels of spending across different industries.”

China’s 3D printer market is the front runner in the industry and is growing rapidly thanks to the Chinese government’s initiatives in promoting 3D printing technologies. And with rapid development of 3D printing technology in recent years, desktop 3D printers are getting more popular because they are affordable. Desktop 3D printers will become standard office equipment as they become smarter, more affordable and demanded by consumers.

The focus of the 5th iPrint 3D Expo is desktop equipment, and the product range covers desktop 3D printers, 3D pens and 3D filament. In the expo, all the well-known companies in the 3D printing industry will gather together, including eSun and Sunlu, who have a mature supply and marketing network and rich experience in overseas marketing.

In 2016, nearly 9,000 buyers from 83 countries around the world came to this expo, and the pre-registered audience of 2017 has increased by 59.72 percent compared to last year, with the domestic growth of 220.45 percent and the foreign growth of 17.37 percent. This year, 50 domestic and foreign exhibitors will participate in the 5th iPrint 3D Expo, and the exhibition area covers 5,000 square meter. And the target customers are large comprehensive supermarkets, office supplies supermarkets, large and medium companies and schools.

In addition, some amazing 3D printing work will be collected from the exhibitors and a spectacular 3D printing production display will be presented during the exhibition. And most importantly, the 5th iPrint 3D Expo will be held in the same venue (No.6 Hall of Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center) at the same time (Oct. 12th-14th, 2017) with the world’s largest print consumables expo—RemaxWorld Expo 2017. The entire global imaging supplies industry will be on display at the “one-stop shop.”

One of China’s printer and consumable manufacturers, Zhuhai Sunlu, developed 3D products, such as desktop 3D printers and 3D pens. Sunlu sells their 3D products abroad using its established distribution channels. For those interested in expanding their two-dimensional printing offerings by adding 3D products, Zhuhai Sunlu may be a valuable partner.

With the mutual development of the 2D & 3D printing industries, there will be more and more businesses, like Sunlu, which expand product lines by combining 3D printing products with their current products and service offerings.

As a great venue for 3D printing businesses, the expo will be a good chance to build on the list of business contacts available from the mature network and rich experience provided by members of the 2D printing industry. At the same time, the traditional 2D printing and consumables businesses also could gain an insight into the latest products and technologies of the fledgling 3D printing industry at the 5th iPrint 3D Expo. This is truly a totally one-of-a-kind event – don’t miss it.
