Virgin Islands Government to Go Digital

The U.S. Virgin Islands’ technology office is making efforts to create a paperless government.

Reuben Molloy, Chief Information Officer of Virgin Islands, said: “Our goal is to have more online self-service government services…and to make sure employees have the basic tools they need to do their jobs.”

According to TonerNews, Molloy faced staffing challenges, due to the low government salaries. He cooperated with other agencies and vendors to tackle projects like consolidating a data center and standardizing email through Microsoft Office 365.
