US Ink Cartridge Business Sued

A printer ink cartridge business is being sued for sending unsolicited faxes in order to obtain new business.

According to northcalrecord.com, The Toner Doctor is expected to attend the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California following a complaint being filed by Vahe Messerlian.

The company is a U.S. based family business, according to its website, which supplies ink and toner cartridges to medical offices, business, schools, and individuals, It claims to be currently supplying more than 5,000 “genuine and compatible” products for all major brands of printers, copiers and faxes.

The plaintiff alleges that beginning in March 2015, The Toner Doctor has continued to send him unwanted faxes. He claims he has never been a customer of The Toner Doctor and his complaint is as much for others in the similar situation who, like him, receive “junk mail” via fax.

According to northcalrecord.com, Messerlian has requested a trial by jury and is demanding $500 in statutory damages, $1,500 as treble damages and any other compensation the court sees fit.
