UK Council Approves Over £85,000 to Acquire New Printer, Copier Hardware

According to the UK’s Southern Daily Echo, members of Eastleigh Borough Council’s Cabinet approved the spending of more than £85,000 ($142,000 USD) on printing and copying equipment. The Council says the plan aims to replace the present fleet of photocopiers and printers at the civic offices on Leigh Road.

The approval was based upon the Council’s review of existing printing equipment in the print room and the civic offices. Also, the Council compared the cost of purchasing and leasing printers over a five-year period, reaching the conclusion that “income from external printing could be increased through charging outside organizations to use the facilities”.
