Three Seizure Orders Issued against One Company
California-based Audioland Electronic Corporation has been issued three seizure and forfeiture orders within just one day while trying to import inkjet supplies and ink cartridges to the USA.
The shipments, found by US Customs, violated GEOs relating to HP and Epson investigations. The ink supplies shipments specifically violated the 337-TA-691 investigation, and the ink cartridges involved violated 337-TA-946 and 337-TA-565 investigations. Accordingly, Customs denied entry of the products into the US and reported the case to USITC.
Based on documents and information provided by the Customs, USITC issued three separate seizure and forfeiture orders against the aforementioned company.
USITC, short for United States International Trade Commission, has developed into a forum that deals almost exclusively with patent infringement.
