Staples Unveils Consumables Price Reduction

Staples has disclosed the prices of incomparable ink and toner on a variety of choices of ink, toner cartridges and a new in-stock guarantee since May 1st to celebrate National Small Business Week. The company says the prices of its products will be stable in order to promote the businesses of small corporations. Besides reduction in price, Staples also reveals that the Make More Happen Contest would be held and the work of the small business contest winners will be announced all around America.

National Small Business Week, which takes place from May 1–7, annually recognizes the impact of countless small businesses and entrepreneurs. According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, more than half of Americans either own or work for a small business. As part of its commitment to helping small businesses get more for less, Staples has cut prices on thousands of ink and toner cartridges.

“National Small Business Week provides an opportunity to appreciate the substantial contributions of entrepreneurs and small business owners,” said Peter Scala, executive vice president, merchandising, Staples. “Staples has spent the past 30 years helping small businesses on the path to success, and we are committed to that legacy by continuing to deliver quality products and services at low prices. These unbeatable ink and toner prices are here to stay and help our customers make more happen with their small businesses every day.”

The Make More Happen Contest – which is currently accepting submissions through May 21 – showcases the winning small businesses. To enter, small businesses simply visit staples.com/MakeMoreHappenContest and describe in 200 words or less how their business is “making more happen.” Five lucky winners will be selected, with each receiving on-location production of a 30-second spotlight video of their business to be featured nationally on Staples’ social media channels. Additionally, all five winners will be awarded a $1,000 Staples Print & Marketing Services package to help market their business.

“At Staples, we want to recognize and share the great work small businesses are doing every day across the country,” said Alison Corcoran, senior vice president North American stores and online marketing, Staples. “The Make More Happen Contest will help us acknowledge small businesses and share their success stories.”

Staples is committed to unbeatable ink and toner prices, offering the best prices both in stores and online. Those purchasing ink and toner at their local Staples retail location are covered by Staples’ in-stock guarantee – if a particular cartridge is out of stock, a Staples associate will order that item at an onsite kiosk and provide a $10 discount and free shipping. Shoppers who buy ink and toner online can also elect to pick up their cartridges in-store within one hour of purchase.

Staples will price match cartridges sold and shipped by Amazon.com, or any retailer that sells cartridges in retail stores and online under the same brand. To receive the Staples 110% Price Match Guarantee, customers who find a lower price on a new, identical cartridge can show it to the Staples Customer Service Desk associate at the time of purchase in a Staples store. For a price match on Staples.com, customers can call 800-333-3330.
