Samsung Joins in 3D Printing

Samsung has set up a new team to research high-tech advancements, including 3D printing.

As was reported by 3D print.com, the OEM has a specific team made up of technicians, strategists, and project managers, all dedicated to research and development in 3D printing. Also, the team plans to explore other new areas such as Virtual reality, Robots, Robotic telepresence, Drones and Unmanned vehicles. The team will operate independently from other divisions, said Samsung.

“Samsung’s previous success was mostly due to releasing products that are competitive in pricing,” a Samsung official explained. “This is an old business formula. We need to constantly explore new ways to meet the needs of people through innovation and updated technologies.”
