Ricoh Unveils Its 1c/page Printer
Ricoh has launched a new laser printer targeted at workgroups looking for affordable, reliable color in higher-than-average volumes.
The Ricoh SP C440DN can print 42 pages per minute at resolutions up to 1200 x 1200 dpi. Ricoh claims it provides the lowest printing cost per page in the industry: at 1 cent per page in monochrome and 5 cents in color, cheaper than the 7 cents per page on average. It’s designed to perform monthly printing volumes up to 20,000 pages. Ricoh also says its other features include: mobile printing via the RICOH Smart Device Print&Scan app, optional hard drive, expansive media handling capacities, high-volume host printing, as well as new energy-saving mode.
John Brophy, Vice President, Product Marketing, Ricoh Americas Corporation said: “The RICOH SP C440DN updates models that led their market for years, helping companies achieve higher levels of information mobility even as they contain costs. The new model preserves what customers like, adds several new things they asked for such as dual network support, and surprises them with capabilities we know they’ll love.”
