OKI Honored for Remarkable Achievement in Energy Efficiency

Buyers Laboratory LLC (BLI), the world’s leading independent provider of analytical information and services, has recognized OKI Data’s MB491+LP for outstanding achievement in energy efficiency.

Each year, BLI recognizes the most energy-efficient printers tested in the past eight months. According to BLI, the 47-ppm MB491+LP MFP has been an energy-efficient product. It attains a lower than average projected annual energy consumption rate than competitive A4 monochrome MFPs designed for small workgroups. BLI also noted the MB491+LP offers many environmentally friendly features. These features include automatic duplexing, toner-save mode and blank-page removal, and above average tested toner yields that also exceeded their rated yields.

During BLI’s test, the MB491+LP MFP ran 4,000 impressions per media type (paper made with 30%, 50% and 100% recycled content) with no misfeeds or problems of curling paper or dust buildup. Besides, tested noise emissions were competitive.

Carl Taylor, Vice President of Marketing for North America at OKI Data Americas, said, “OKI Data Americas is honored that the MB491+LP has earned BLI’s outstanding achievement award for energy efficiency. This award-winning, A4, mono multifunction printer with legal platen is yet another example of OKI’s commitment to delivering high-performance, reliable and efficient printing solutions to the marketplace.”
