OKI Data Continues to Expand in Malaysia

Malaysian Media HardwareZone reported its team has been invited to Japan by OKI Data Malaysia. During its tour, the team met OKI’s top management and learned about the company’s plans in Malaysia.

Takao Hiramoto, President of OKI Data Corporation, revealed that OKI currently runs six main businesses, including printing, telecommunications, social infrastructure, systems hardware, solutions and services, and electronics manufacturing. Also, OKI has established offices across the world, in regions that include: Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, America and China. “Malaysia remains one of the strongest markets for OKI Data, and the company will continue to focus its efforts in this country,” Hiramoto observed.

Further, Hiramoto noted that the company’s office printing solutions will remain a viable source of revenue. Hiramoto believes that due to the demand for commercial printing of photographs, the professional market is still untapped.

Hiroshi Endo, Corporate Officer and General Manager of Products Business Department at OKI Data Corporation, explained the LED printing process which has enabled OKI printers to offer more reliability and better print quality.

Finally, Tetsuhei Kawamura, General Manager of Overseas Marketing and Sales Division at OKI Electric Industry observed that the company is holding discussions with a number of Malaysian banks about bringing OKI’s ATMs into the country.
