New HP Instant Ink-Ready Printers Available

HP is offering an endless supply of ink for just US$2.99 a month on its new HP ENVY, OfficeJet and DeskJet range.

According to HP, its popular instant ink replacement program, called HP Instant Ink, is one of the fastest growing web-based paid services, attracting more than one customer every minute, every day.

There are a number of subscription-based plans to meet different customer needs. Detecting ink level automatically, it saves subscribers the anxiety of running out of ink at the worst time, as well as the trouble to purchase ink in a retail store. Once the low ink level is detected, inks can be reordered automatically and directly delivered to customer’s door.

A Harris Poll found that 62 percent of “near-future”, potential customers were interested in an ink delivery service like HP Instant Ink.

Stephen Nigro, senior vice president, Imaging and Printing, HP said, “Customers want printing to be affordable, convenient and meaningful. With HP Instant Ink, customers can enjoy low cost of ownership and print what matters most to them without the worry of running out of ink or spending too much.”

HP also claims that customers can enjoy the lowest two year total cost of ownership available with HP Instant Ink printers, printing high-quality photos as well as white or color documents at the same cost. No contracts, hidden costs or annual fees are attached, so customers can easily modify their plan at any time.

HP also claims recycling HP Instant Ink is simple and easy, as the program provides prepaid envelops to return used cartridges, which they say reduces about 70 percent carbon footprint related to ink cartridge purchase and disposal.

HP is now offering the choice of one or two year HP Instant Ink Plans for those who purchase the new HP OfficeJet 5741 or HP OfficeJet 5743 printers. Other new HP Instant Ink-ready printers include:

• HP ENVY 4520 All-in-One Printer

• HP ENVY 5540 All-in-One Printer

• HP OfficeJet 4650 All-in-One

• HP OfficeJet 3830 All-in-One

The HP Instant Ink subscription is currently available in the U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, France and Germany. Additional information is available at www.hp.com/go/instantink.
