Metrofuser’s Flash-It™ Extends Life of HP 806, 830 Fusers

Laser printer parts manufacturer Metrofuser has launched its latest Flash-It Tool, a new solution which extends the life of the HP M806, M830 fusers. With a patent pending, the solution has the potential to save service companies a great deal in consumables and service calls, according to Metrofuser.

Metrofuser said the HP LaserJet M800 series printers are engineered to generate an error message reading “REPLACE FUSER” when the page count reaches 200,000 pages. The Flash-It Tool will set the fuser life to 100% and clear the “REPLACE FUSER” message. Also, this will enable the utilization of the existing fuser far beyond 200,000 pages, without the need of a costly new fuser.

Will DeMuth, Metrofuser’s Chief Operating Officer, said, “One of the added benefits of the tool is that you can flash the lifecycle at any point. You don’t have to wait for the error message. Technicians will be able to flash and synchronize fleets allowing scheduled maintenance rather than crisis management.”
