Managed by Q makes first acquisition

Office services startup Managed by Q has made its first acquisition since launching in 2014.

The New York-based company has purchased workplace tool Hivy in order to expand its offering to include office management.

The Hivy platform was formed in Paris in 2015 and enables managers to collect employee requests, lead project teams, and assign tasks. It was originally designed as a custom workflow manager for offices, but now also serves as a help desk for employees. It uses an online dashboard that can be integrated with emails and other messaging services. The platform is already used by some top global companies, including the professional messenger app Slack.

Following the acquisition, it will continue to operate as a standalone product, but will eventually be integrated into the Managed by Q platform. Details of the transaction were not revealed.
