HYB Expands in Saudi Arabia Despite Pandemic

HYB has appointed a distributor to increase sales in Saudi Arabia and seen a dramatic increase in sales despite the tough times brought on by COVID-19.

According to Mr Sharaf, General Manager of AATC which is HYB’s distributor in Saudi Arabia, the stock of HYB copier toner ran out of supply and another container had to be ordered urgently.

“We just opened a new warehouse in AlHawari Street in AlMalaz,” he said. “HYB has become a popular brand in Saudi Arabia.” Sharaf explained a full range of toner and parts for use in Canon, Kyocera Mita and Ricoh had been stocked from the outset. “We placed a more conservative order due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it turned out we ran out earlier than expected.”

According to the state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Saudi Arabia has spent more than US$57 billion on initiatives to mitigate the impact of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The SPA claim it was spent on 142 separate initiatives in both the private and public sector. More than 650,000 people have directly benefitted from the measures, according to the kingdom’s Ministry of Finance.

Sharaf reports that the confidence gained from the government’s initiatives has allowed businesses to get back to work and this has flowed through to all business activity, including the need for toners to run the printing devices in the office. “The demand for reliable consumables and spare parts from the dealers are reflecting that most of the customers in Saudi Arabia are choosing quality products like HYB toner as their solution to avoid extra services and on-site repairs of technicians, which is risky for this period.

Earlier in June, HYB announced their official new distributor in Malaysia.
