HP Sees Potential in A3 Segment

HP Inc. summarized the company’s highlights in 2016, including its achievements in both 2D and 3D printing.

According to HP, the US$55 billion’s worth of A3 market has been long dominated by complex but outdated copier technology. HP believes the integration of its next-generation ink printing technology and Samsung’s A3 laser technologies help the company offer groundbreaking performance and economics. Furthermore, HP revealed it expects the acquisition of Samsung’s printer business for US$1.05 billion to be completed in the second half of 2017.

In addition, HP has launched the world’s first production-ready 3D printing system, HP Jet Fusion 3D Printing Solution. The new system along with HP’s bold new open innovation platform, will innovate manufacturing by enabling highly customized products produced closer to customers’ locations.

The HP Labs that generated thermal inkjet printers and other iconic products has also celebrated its 50th year anniversary in 2016.
