HP Requires U.S. Partners to Register

In November 2013, HP activated an Authorized partner program in order to tighten control over its supplies distribution channels.

Now, according to OPI (Office Products Information), HP is stepping into the next stage of the program, requiring all Authorized resellers to follow a certain set of new requirements. Only by living up to these requirements can they become “Qualified” partners.

HP also noted that if the present Authorized HP partners do not acquire Qualified status by 1 November, 2014, they will no longer be allowed to sell original HP ink and toner supplies.
