HP Finds Opportunities in Digitization
Rajiv Srivastava (pictured), Vice President and General Manager for Printing and Personal Systems at HP India, predicts project or research-oriented work through the education vertical will continue to drive the home printer market in India.
Srivastava told Channelworld.in that the enterprise segment in the Indian printer market will become more dominant, due to digitization. As enterprises go paperless, HP found it could be the next opportunity for printer companies and channels, and have been changed their strategy around MPS.
In addition, Srivastava noted that there will be growing demand of large corporates for MPS. As the companies transformed to use MPS service, pay-per-use and print-per-use, they now manage large amount of digital documents. Srivastava added, HP is focusing on home, MPS and digitization, which helps it get enough covering for channels in the printing segment in India.
