Georgia-based Company Issued Seizure and Forfeiture Order

Wando LLC has been issued a seizure and forfeiture order for attempting to import products into U.S. that violate the General Exclusion Order (GEO) relating to 337-829 investigation.

The Bureau of Customs and Border Protection (“Customs”) has denied the entry of toner cartridges and components from the aforesaid company. According to a copy of the document provided to the RT Media, the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) issued a seizure and forfeiture order in response to Customs’ request against the company on May 16.

On January 23, 2012, Canon U.S.A, Canon Virginia and Canon Inc. sued 36 companies, claiming they infringed two of its patents Nos.: 5,903,803 and 6,128,454. USITC instituted a 337-829 investigation on February 29, and issued a GEO on June 28, 2013.
