Fuji Xerox PH still bullish in 2019 fiscal year

Fuji Xerox Philippines, Inc. expects its sales volume to grow 10 to 15 percent this coming fiscal year, mainly betting on new models of multifunction printers whose price could go as high as P1 million per unit.

Company president Hideaki Kato told reporters in a recent product launch that Fuji Xerox expected to sustain its growth in the country.

He said the 2018 fiscal year ends this March. While there is still no final figure on their sales volume for the current fiscal year, Kato is already optimistic of the next fiscal year’s prospects.

“My expectation is around 10 to 15 percent growth this year,” he said, referring to the company’s sales volume while deferring from disclosing other figures.

He said the growing market in the Philippines meant more information was required, which suggests that the volume of printed documents is also increasing.

While he said the market largely involved the sale of black and white printer machines, he said Fuji Xerox is mainly focusing on color printers, which he said is relatively more in the high-end part of the market.

More than half of the company’s sales in the upcoming fiscal year, he said, was expected to come from 14 new models of digital color multifunction printers, which boast a number of innovative features.

The new products, which officials said are priced within a range of P300,000 per unit up to a million pesos, would do away with hard keys, letting businesses input commands not only through touch screen but even through their mobile phones.

Called the ApeosPort-VII C/ DocuCentre-VII C series, the new products will also feature enhanced data security as it allows users to print on a cloud server, among other features.

Fuji Xerox Philippines is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fuji Xerox in Japan, which in turn is a subsidiary of Fujifilm Holdings Corp. and Xerox Corp. in the USA./lzb
