Epson Launches Two New EcoTanks for Home & Business Use

Epson Japan has announced the release of two new EcoTank printer models, the EW-M678FT and EW-M638T, which will be available from July 17, 2025.

Epson’s EcoTank models are widely recognized for their ultra-low printing costs and reduced need for frequent ink replacements, thanks to built-in high-capacity ink tanks. They have gained popularity among both home users and businesses seeking cost-effective and hassle-free printing solutions.

The new models maintain the same low printing costs and compact design while offering significant improvements in printing speed and durability. Additionally, they feature a modified ink tank system for smoother refills, notification LEDs for clear status visibility, automatic paper output tray opening, and a new paper check window that allows users to easily monitor remaining paper levels.

Faster Printing and Enhanced Durability for Business Use
Equipped with a newly developed print head, the printers achieve improved speeds of approximately 18.0 ipm for A4 monochrome documents and 9.0 ipm for A4 color documents. Durability has also doubled, increasing from 50,000 to 100,000 pages, ensuring reliable performance for long-term business use.

Redesigned Ink Tank for Easier Refilling
The independently structured front ink tanks allow users to refill ink easily without needing to lift the scanner lid, streamlining operation and saving time.

Improved Convenience Features
The new models come with a front-facing notification LED, making it easy to check printer status at a glance. The automatic paper output tray opens during printing, eliminating the need for manual adjustment, and the paper check window enables quick confirmation of remaining paper in the cassette.

These enhancements make the printers ideal for a wide range of users, from those needing quick and easy printing for telework or study at home to restaurants and other businesses seeking efficient and reliable printing solutions.
