Cartridge World Boss Shocked

Cartridge World Boss ShockedSteve Weedon, the CEO of the 1,000 plus global network of stores has spoken to RT Media about an alleged crime by a former franchisee.

Dallas based bookstore chain, Half Price Books claim former Cartridge World store owners Todd and Maggie Kuenstler stole cartridge supplies previously sold to the bookstore, only to resell them back again. The 7-year, US$1 million scam was exposed in January 2016.

“I am shocked that this valued customer has been subjected to this kind of illegal action by a, now ex-franchisee,” Weedon said. He was obviously upset that the customer’s trust had been betrayed, causing them to become a victim of fraud.

Weedon is also concerned how store owners in 55 countries might be impacted. “The actions of an individual rogue franchise store owner do not, in any way, represent the 1,000 plus franchise store owners in 55 countries who are hard working law abiding citizens who promote the Cartridge World brand globally every day and pride themselves on their local community relationships and value add.”

Weedon is also concerned about being named in the lawsuit. Customers and the public might infer that the corporation has been directly involved with this illegal scheme. “That is simply not the case,” Weedon stated.  “We will defend our position in this law suit with aggression to preserve the good name of our franchise network and honest hard working store owners and Master franchisees around the world.”
