Cartridge Collector Steps Down

Cartridge Collector Steps Down

After 23 years as one of the best known cartridge remanufacturers—then collectors—in Europe, Gerhard van Klaveren (pictured) will leave the industry he helped to shape.

“As you probably know,” he told RT Media, “I have been in the cartridge collection business since September 1993. However, I have decided to step down as CEO as of the 1st of September, 2016.”

Fellow director Paul Eduard and the current executive and management team will continue the company’s daily management.

“During the last couple of years Eduard and I developed my company van Klaveren CCC together with Dockpoint into the current Eeko Group.”

According to van Klaveren, Eeko has become the market leader in the collection, sorting and the re-use of cartridges and mobile phones in the Netherlands. “Since 1993, we have collected over 26 million cartridges and in 2015 alone, we collected more than 3 million units.” Eeko Group B.V. has become a professional company and has partners all over the world. Currently, we are well positioned nationally and internationally and employ nearly 45 people.

Van Klaveren says he has thoroughly developed the wonderful relationships with the company’s partners. “Looking back,” he adds, “I can say that I am incredibly proud of our achievements and am confident in the future of the Eeko Group.
