Canon Announces New Name for Its Toner Cartridge Recycling Company

Canon USA announced it has changed the name of its toner cartridge recycling company to Canon Environmental Technologies, Inc. (CETI). Previously, this subsidiary was called Industrial Resource Technologies, Inc. (IRT).

According to Canon, “CETI will continue to carry out its strong commitment to the environment.” The company will keep growing Canon’s recycling efforts and help build a recycling-oriented society. In addition to using green technologies, Canon believes CETI will help reduce its environmental impact through greater management efficiency.

Toru Nishizawa, President and CEO of Canon Virginia, remarked, “The name change is a testament to the commitment we have to the environment. Through CETI, we will continue to work closely with our community and foster future environmental business growth.”
