Business-Inform 2013 Ends, Yet It Continues

Business-Inform 2013—the International Exhibition of Office Equipment, Printing Supplies and Parts—was held in Moscow from May 21 to 23 at Pavilion #20 of the All-Russian Exhibition Center. A total of 75 companies from China, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Lithuania, Russia and the USA attended the Expo organized by the Information Agency, Business-Inform.

Considerable Visitor interest was created by the third Business-Inform 2013 International Conference held simultaneously with the Exhibition. During the conference, delegates exchanged views on actual problems in production and promotion in Russia and international markets. They also evaluated main market tendencies and shared their forecasts. 19 Reports, a discussion, and two demonstrations were attended by more than 600 specialists. The reports that attracted most of the interest were dedicated to print outsourcing; MPS-solutions; print quality evaluation; marketing in different segments of office equipment; and, printing supplies.

One of the Exhibitors, Mr. Tommy Liu, of REtech, China, commented on the Expo, “My experience as an Exhibition participant shows that the quality of visitors is considerably more important than the quantity. It is the quality of visitors that defines the real opportunities for business development. The organizers of this Exhibition did the right thing by denying access to occasional and non-professional visitors. Business-Inform is directed at quality products. It gives the Chinese producers a real opportunity to prove the good quality of their products”.

Informational events are attaining more importance in the Russian market. Only regular information supplied by the industry leaders, open discussions on new products and trends would allow the Russian market to remain up-to-date, quickly reacting to the emergence of new and perspective technical and technological solutions in the global market. Consequently, the majority of the participants have already confirmed their participation in next year’s Business-Inform 2014.

The Exhibition ended on May 23, but implementation of the Business-Inform’s Informational Project continues. In June 2013, Business- Inform’s web-site will host a permanent virtual Business-Inform 2013 Exhibition. Preparation for publication of the brochure with exhibition results, Business-Inform Review #3, 2013, is already underway. The organizers will not only include most of the interesting reports at the Expo, but a lot of other information gleaned from leading industry specialists.
