Apex Releases Updated Replacement Chips for HP Printers

HP recently updated the firmware of its 364/564 series new printers.

It is reported HP is updating firmware by directly installing new firmware on printers before they get on market instead of allowing customers to download installation packages. The same update method is used on HP 950 series printers, on which Apex’s chips are also applicable.

Apex responded quickly and worked out the first solution in the aftermarket. Acceding to the chip supplier, its solution works perfectly on the updated printers, which demonstrated that aftermarket can tally with the OEM in technology improvement.
