A New Tree Planted for Every 8,333 Pages Used

Toshiba dealer channel and customers will be given a new way to promote sustainable business practices.

To uphold its commitment to maintain a more sustainable planet, Toshiba America Business Solutions has partnered with PrintReleaf Exchange [PRX] in regard to neutralizing paper waste and sustaining global forests.

The partnership allows Toshiba customers to reforest by planting new trees in most needed areas through PrintReleaf reforestation project websites.

Currently, PrintReleaf reforests at a generally accepted rate of 8,333 sheets of paper per standard tree. Integrated with Global Forest Watch, a platform hosted by the World Resources Institute, PrintReleaf website users can track forest loss and gain directly with help of the heat map technology. Toshiba customers may use their online portal to track the evolution, growth, and survival of their trees over an approximate eight-year time frame for each tree.

Tom Walter, Vice President of Distribution and Aftermarket Sales, Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. said, “At Toshiba, we believe it is our responsibility to do our part to function in a sustainable manner. PrintReleaf shares that same level of commitment to maintaining our environment and will enable our dealer and customer communities to certifiably plant trees throughout areas of the world in need of reforestation.”
